About BIG-GSA

The Bioengineering Interdepartmental Graduate Student Association (BIG-GSA) was founded by Chris  Kieslich and Aliana Lopez de Victoria in 2009. The organization was founded to serve the bioengineering graduate students with focus on providing both social as well as academic activities.

BIG-GSA is growing expansively each year and is currently expanding its focus to include community outreach and provide more opportunities for graduate student involvement. Outreach programs include a mentorship program as well as K-12 science outreach. BIG GSA also aims to provide social activities for graduate students to release stress such as BBQs, Hikes etc. These social, professional development, and outreach events can be found under the respective tabs on the home page.
